Individuals France Nicolas Sarkozy was Friday morning in Winnow in the Morbihan, for the homage ceremony to the two French killed soldiers recently in Afghanistan.

Sergeant Thomas Rousselle, and Corporal Johann Naguin, both of them members of the 3rd Regiment of Infantry of Navy (Marines) were killed by the explosion of a hand-crafted bomb at the time of a patrol to the northeast of Kabul, September 4.

The honor Legion was put back for them to title posthumous during this homage. The two soldiers were equally promoted to a superior rank.

Recalling that France was located in Afghanistan to help the local population to find the road to peace, security and development", Nicolas Sarkozy noted that it was a matter of a fight against barbarity, against obscurantism".

France will follow this fight because this is his duty, because this is his responsibility, because this is his honor", it followed. France has not the possibility to remain indefinitely in Afghanistan", it added.

But we will remain the necessary time to the advent of a sovereign Afghan State, freely chosen by the Afghans, respectful of the basic rights of the persons, able to take in hand his destiny without being a threat for the world remainder".

While 31 French soldiers were killed in Afghanistan since 2001, the President of the State underlined that this sacrifice would have no direction if we left the terrorism, if we left factions moyenâgeuses, barbarians, prevail".

This sacrifice would have no direction if we abandoned the Afghan people to what it is necessary well to call its butchers", he concluded.
